The first HUPE Zadar Branch meeting

The first HUPE Zadar Branch meeting will take place at OŠ Šime Budinić in Zadar on 14th October at 10 am.

The workshop will be held by HUPE vicepresident Željka Jakušić Čejka:
 ' I like to move it! '

Abstract: Although we start teaching children using TPR, games and songs, once our learners reach certain age and level and teaching materials and learning objectives get more difficult, we abandon the TPR approach and plan our classes to do still, sit-down activities.
Our body is built for movement and yet, if the teaching process neglects our natural need to move, the results may not be as good as we expect. In this workshop I will explain why movement is important and introduce some activities that encourage our students to move and participate in an average teenage classroom.
During this workshop I will show you some games and activities which should encourage your students to be active during classes. By making your lessons dynamic, your students will be engaged both physically and mentally and therefore, more productive and less tired. Activities are designed for teenagers who often spend too much time sitting in the classroom.
