We are delighted to announce the first two plenary speakers for our upcoming conference: Margit Szesztay and Uwe Pohl from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest.
Margit Szesztay has been involved in teacher education for over three decades. Her work focuses on group dynamics, creativity, teacher development, and empowering educators to unlock the full potential of their learners and colleagues.
Uwe Pohl is a teacher trainer at ELTE's Department of English Language Pedagogy. He has worked on numerous international projects and is known for his expertise in ELT methodology, intercultural learning, EMI, mentoring, and trainer training.
Plenary Session: Turning to Each Other in the Age of AI: Fostering Social Skills through ELT
What can you expect? As AI continues to transform our societies, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and cooperation have become more important than ever. In their plenary session, Margit and Uwe will explore how language teachers can help learners develop these essential 21st-century skills by focusing on the micro-skills that support meaningful face-to-face interaction.
