It all started at one football game. My brother Ivan plays football and we often go to his games and tournaments. One day we went to his game. Everyone got ready and the game started. I noticed the other team's goalkeeper. He was tall and slim. He had short, blonde hair and big green eyes. He was wonderful. I forgot about the score, who was playing, school worries, what I was even doing here, I just looked at him. While I was thinking about him the ball flies in, hits him in the head and bounces into the goal. My brother scored. I was all anxious as I watched what was happening, and it was as if he looked at me and smiled. Then I smiled back. He stood up immediately. As if nothing happened. That was the smile that made the difference.
The match ended 1:0 for Ivan's team. When we got home, I asked Ivan what was the name of the goalkeeper of the team he played against. He sad it was David. I thought it was a really nice name. I thought about him for weeks, even my grades got worse. That's how it was until Ivan told me that the next match was against the team in which Ivan plays. When I heard that, I almost jumped of joy. I couldn't wait to go. I got ready before everyone else, but my dad stood at the door and said I couldn't go to the game. He said I had bad grades and that I needed to study. Those words were the end of the world to me. I couldn't believe it. After so much waiting. I listened to him and stayed home, thinking that if I learned everything now, I would go to the next game. Meanwhile, dad and Ivan went to the game while mom and I stayed home. Mom cooked and rested, and I studied. When I was ready, my mom tested me. An so on for each subject. I finished and waited, resting, for my dad and brother to return. When they returned Ivan told me the schore. He added that David asked him who I was and what was my name. He said he was surprised by he question and asked if there was something between us. I answered no. That's where the conversation ended. After that I thought about it and wondered why he asked that. I finally realized that he might be in love with me, too. A few weeks later, my grades improved, and football wasn't that important to me.
When one day, at lunch, I got a message on my phone. It was sent by an unknown number, and it said: "Hi, I'm David, I'd like to see you invite your for a coffee. David." The message surprised me, but I knew who it was. I told my mom about the message and how it all started, and she said I could go. I went and he was already waiting for me. When I saw that smile, I remembered that moment. We talked about all sorts of things. From where we lived to who liked what. We agreed on everything. When I came home, I told my family how it was. Everyone was happy. A few years later, he proposed to me, we got married and happy for the rest of our lives.
