There once was a broke college student. His name was James Williams. He was bearly scraping by with only seven hundred and thirty six dollars to his name. James had no parents. They died in a car acident and they were only children. So his grandma raised him for six years but then she had a stroke. She was rushed to the hospital but it was to late. So he was in the system for seven years. Nobody adopted him and soon he was going to be all alone. He got a part time job at a bakery making seven dollars an hour. He was saving up for community college and an apartment. Soon after that he got an apartment with little money he had saving up. Rent was four hundred and fifty dollars. His landlord was mean. He had threee part time jobs just to keep himself afloat. Working at a bakery in the morning then he had online classes after that it was dellivering pizzas and at night he was cleaning a laundromat. When he came home he would be very tired. He had to pay rent by the end of the week. He only had money for rent this month and 23 dollars for this weeks groceries. He went to the 24 hour convenience store to buy a banana. He was standing in line when the girl's card in front of him got declined. She was just buying a ramen packet and two yoghurts. So James decided to pay her bill even if that meant that he would only have thirteen dollars. The girl was super grateful. She wrote something on a piece of paper and prested it into James's palms. It said "If you need help call this number - 099 345 6783" but than she ran away. James was happy that he helped but sad because he only had thirteen dollars. Three weeks later his landlord kicked him out of his apartment. He went couch surfing but then he found a new place to sleep in. Soon after that he completely forgot the note. Eleven years later he was successful, he was married to a girl named Emily and he even bought a house in England. His wife was moving boxes and saw a note. She showed it to James and he said that the note is from a girl he helped eleven years ago. His wife was pushing him to call the number and eventually he gave in. They called the number and the girl answered on the second ring. She said that her name is Nicol and that she moved to Scotland. They said if she wanted to meet up for coffee at a cat cafe. She said "Sure". Two weeks later they met in the cafe and talked for hours. She is a music artist and a teacher. Nicol has got a boyfriend Alexander. He works at a popular restaurant. They soon became friends. Nicol told James that she could never ever repay him. It helped her so much to become the person she is now.
