The 6th HUPE in Storyland competition Ranking

For me, a day that changed everything was the day when I realized that I had to be more concentraited in math class. I never took the teacher's words seriously, and thats my mistake for life. Everytime he called me on the board I zoned out for no absolute reason and didn't know how to start explaining the equation. At the end I just gave up and said I didn't want to explain so he just decited to sent me back to my seat. We continued with the lesson and forgot about the embarrassment I just witnessed. I was trying to hide my face because I felt emotionally dissappointed in myself.It was 5 minutes till the class ended and he gave us homework to do for the weekend. Let's just say that I stayed quiet the whole day and was barely socializing with my friends. Atleast I talked to my best friend Gabrijel on lunch break. Saw my crush as well, still can't forget the fact that he held my hand in sports. Time went by and it was the end of school, I walked back home scared because I didn't know how my mom would react to me saying no to my teacher. I played it cool and said everything was okay, of course.. she's not easy to fool so she immediately knew that I was lying. I had no choice but to tell her the truth, she ended up taking my phone. Not because she didn't want me to use it, but for my own good. I was bored and actually wanted to show my true self and how good I can actually get, by that I meant I was gonna do my homework that was left lonely on my desk like a yellow duck in a group of white ducks. It was very intense since I didn't pay attention in class. I pulled out my old phone that I hid under my pillow and searched the answers on Chat GPT. I wasn't even CLOSE to what the answers were. I came to a conclusion to call my mom for help because I genuinely didn't know the answers, she said she will help me but first we ate lunch together. It was my favourite meal, spaghetti with tuna. It was delicious as always, I reminded her to help me and she was explaining how I have to take this seriously and not play around. I had to lock in. We started from the first question and came to the last one simply by working together. I understood more now, like my mind was filled with knowledge. It was a release for me and I became self-confident. I felt very exhausted so right when I sat down I felt sleepy so I took a nap until my dad woke me up to go shower and to go to bed so I can be ready for tomorrow. My alarm rang at 6 am, I got ready and remembered what I was studying last night, my dad sent me to school and I greeted everyone nicely. First period was math, which is my most important subject right now. The teacher came and picked a random student to answer his question, I happily raised my hand and answered the question. He said it was correct and said he will give me a good grade for getting better as this. I finally got to my goal of proving that I can do everything that I can imagine for. The school year was ending and I was very happy with how my grades were right now than they were before. School really is important if you think about it because if you don't show your abillities in time, you won't end well in life. It's good to have knowledge for your future education and that will make you succeed.
