Hi everyone, it's me, Ha-jun, the ferret. Today I'm going to tell you something about the day that changed everything; I'm going to talk about the day when my career started. I'm a K pop singer, so it' s natural that my favorite day is the day when my dream finally came true. Let's start with my morning.
That day I woke up early because I was so excited. It was my audition day, and I was kind of scared too. I knew that I would have to be a trainee if I pass the audition. To be a trainee means that you are not a singer yet. You have to live as s trainee for a few weeks, months or years, depending on your age and talent. Trainees learn Korean, English and Japanese, have dance practice, go to school and learn how to act like a celebrity.
I was super nervous although I had been preparing so long for this. So, as I said, I woke up early that morning. I had my breakfast, got dressed and went outside. I needed to go to the store to buy some new clothes and some groceries. "Hey, Ha-jun," I heard someone yell while I was walking down the street. It was my neighbor. "Where are you going looking so happy, son?" he asked. "I'm going to the store and I'm excited because it's my audition today." "I see. Well, good luck, I hope you pass." "Thanks," I said and rushed to the subway. The train was crowded and there were almost no seats left. Then I noticed there was an empty seat next to a quokka my age. He looked familiar. Have I seen him before? "Hi, may I sit here?" I approached. "Sure," he said. "By the way, I'm Ha-ram." "I'm Ha-jun." I said. "Oh, are you the one I saw at the company the other day?" he inquired. Then I remembered - he was at the same audition as me. We've already met there. "Yes, it's my audition today." "Oh, really? Mine too," he said and smiled at me. He told me that he's really good at rapping and wants to be a rapper in the group. I wasn't surprised at all since it seemed like he rapped while talking normally. I laughed. "You know, if you ever become a K pop singer you'll probably be a visual in your group," he told me. A visual in K pop means that a member of a group has the best looks by the Korean beauty standards.
The train stopped at one of the stations. "I must go. This is my stop," said Ha-ram. "My friend Lee is here." I looked outside the window and saw a rabbit waving at Ha-ram. After that, he left.
The next stop was mine. I got off the train. I put my headphones on and entered a store. I picked some groceries and decided to treat myself with an ice cream. But as I picked up the ice cream I wanted and turned, I bumped into someone - a young fox. "Oh, I'm really sorry," I said. "It's OK," he said, picking up the groceries he dropped when we bumped into each other. "Here, let me help you," I said. I helped him with the groceries. "Thanks," he smiled at me. "I'm Ha-jun." "I'm In-woo." "Sorry for bumping into you, I wasn't looking." "Don't worry, I always bump into someone." Just as he said that, he tripped over his leg and fell, dropping the groceries again. "Oops, he said." "You're a clumsy fellow, aren't you?" I concluded. "I'll help you... again." He laughed at himself. I helped him and went to the clothes store. I wanted to buy some new trendy clothes. I always went to the same place when buying clothes. The shop assistant showed me some shirts and I picked two.
Later I decided to take a walk in the park. Again, I put on my headphones on and walked across the park. Suddenly, I saw my friend Chanwoo the pig, sitting on the bench. He was listening to music, too. "Hey, Chanwoo," I yelled after him. He didn't hear me. I knew he had his headphones on full blast and that even if a tank passed by, he wouldn't hear a sound. So, I sat next to him and bumped him in the shoulder with my fist. He screamed in fear and jumped off the bench. I laughed so hard! "Ha-jun!!!" he cried once he recovered from the shock. "Do you want me to get a heart attack? You scared me!" "Sorry, but you didn't hear me when I called you. Are you excited for the audition?" I asked. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep all night. I'm a little nervous, you know." "Me too," I admitted. We were both hungry so we went to a nearby diner to get ramen.
When I got home, I was pretty nervous. As the time of the audition was approaching I could feel my hands shaking and my heart beating faster. I got ready and went to the subway again. I was still very nervous, but also excited at the same time. While I was waiting for the train, a puppy came to me. "May I sit here?" he asked. "Of course," I replied. he sat next to me and and looked at his phone. Then he looked at the clock in the subway. I could tell he was anxious too. He looked at my hands. They were still trembling. Come on, stop shaking, I thought to myself. "What's your name?" asked the puppy. He looked around my age. "I'm Ha-jun." "My name is Seo-jun," said the puppy. "Nice to meet you." i smiled at him. Then I heard a voice announce that the train is coming. "I must go. This is my train," I said as I got up. "Hey, that's my train, too," Seo-jun got up too. "Where are you going?" he asked after we got on the train. "I'm going to an audition," I started, but he interrupted: "Oh, really? Me too. I can't wait!" I was shocked. Is everyone today going to the same audition as me? I thought. Then I remembered In-woo from the store - he was the only one who didn't tell me that he was going to the audition...
Seo-jun and I talked all the way to the company. Then I heard someone calling me: "Ha-jun! Hey! I'm here!" I turned to see Chanwoo running towards us. We entered a big room with a microphone in the mddle of it. There were chairs all around. I saw Ha-ram and Lee sitting next to each other. And next to them was a wolf. He was the only one who didn't look tense. A group of trainees were sitting on the other side of the room. I noticed that the wolf was wearing the same shirt as other trainees so I guessed he was one of them. Then I looked around, and guess who I saw! Sitting on the chair on the other side of the room was In-woo. When he saw me, he looked just as surprised as I was. We sat next to Ha-ram and Lee and I called In-woo to sit next to us.
The audition started, the tension was rising. Finally, I heard my name and got up from my chair. It was my time to shine. I swear I could hear my heart beat while I was approaching the microphone. I wasn't going to sing, though. I was going to dance. The music started and I danced the best I could. At first, I wasn't sure about some of my moves, but after a few minutes I started enjoying the music. I just love dancing. I gave it my best. When I was done, everyone started clapping and I felt so proud of myself. I found out that the wolf's name was Binu, and he was a trainee. Later, when everyone was done it was time for the results. And they called my name! My heart skipped a beat when I found out that I passed the audition. I almost cried with joy! Now I am a trainee!
Chanwoo, Ha-ram and Lee passed too. Even In-woo passed. After some time as a trainee, I debuted as s singer. Yes, you know that others debuted in the same group as me. Binu became our leader because he had the longest trainee period. Ha-ram, Chanwoo and Lee became the rappers of the group while Lee and I became the best dancers, and Seo-jun and In-woo became the vocalists. And guess what! I also became the best visual of the group. Now you all know us as megastars. I can't even tell you how happy I am. Sometimes it's hard, but as long as we stay together I know everything will be fine. I got to go now, guys, stay tuned! Until next time!
