As I was looking at yet another failed test after many other failures, I just shrugged and let it go. Just like I always did. When I came home the vibes fell off. My parents just looked at each other for a silent minute and said in sync: ''We need to tell you something''. I just nodded and sat down. Then they told me that I would be transferred to another school due to my horrible grades and attendance. I looked them in the eyes and went mute. Then I went to my room and screamed at the wall. I already know I am a procrastinator, but I didn't know I was failing this much. I decided to eat crisps in my horribly disorganized room and watch movies. After hours of binge watching a show I snuck out to the convenience store at 1 a.m. When I got in I went straight for the snacks. I still had a lot of dilemmas, I just crashed when I got home. The next morning my parents told me that I need to look more presentable for the new school, so they made me get a new haircut and bought me new clothes. I hated the haircut, but there was nothing I could do. My parents told me that I must study and have better grades if I want to stay home and not go to a boarding school. I went to a dessert place with two of my friends and I told them that I would be transferred. One of them, Jane is a dancer and she is very loyal but she has clear boundaries. The other friend Megan is a handball player, she is very compassionate about her interests, but she can be a bit impulsive. I told them that I was moving to another city but I would still visit my hometown often. They said that they would miss me and we decided to make this day memorable. We went to a karaoke room and the evening flew by, so did the days until moving. The ride was about three hours long. We soon arrived to our new house. It felt foreign, but I couldn't care less because the couch was huge, my room was bigger and the city was enormous. I have a new identity here, a new haircut, completely new clothes and new people. The first day of school is tomorrow and I need to get ready. I still had a lot of time so I decided to explore the district. The first thing I did was look for the grocery store and I found it after 20 minutes. I had a list of things I needed to buy: beans, bread, milk and yogurt. As I reached for the beans, I almost fell but someone saved me. ''Do you go to Riverview High?'', the boy asked. Yes, thank you for saving me, what's your name? My name is Nate, nice to meet you. My name is Ivy, see you tomorrow. After buying groceries, I went to a bigger part of the city via subway. I wanted to check it out so I know where I'm going. Later, I ended up at some restaurant. Finally, it was time to get home, so I got on the train and went back. Undoubtedly, I fell asleep right after I got home. Today was a certainly important day. I had to get ready, and my parents told me that I better fix my grades. My intention wasn't to necessarily fix my grades, but to meet new people. I got on the train early, so I could have more time. The weather is really sunny and calm. All I could see outside the window was huge buildings and people rushing. When I finally arrived the campus was packed. There were people everywhere. I thought I had more time. I was so wrong, I just went straight for my class and sat near the window. We has Maths first period, and the teacher already gave us a project. Everybody was already split into groups, but I saw Nate is there so I paired with him. Two girls that were sitting near me also joined our group. The girls names were Evelyn and Lauren. The teacher quickly assigned what each group had to do. We decided to meet at Evelyn's place to do the project. I had no idea what should I do, I was flunking Maths my whole life. We decided that I will write the prompt, we did a part of the work today, but we will meet up again on Thursday. Nate asked us if we wanted to come to his baseball game tomorrow. We all said yes. The morning came fast, and we had Literature first period. The classes were a bit boring, but I had to endure it. We met up at 6 p.m. when the game starts. The River Sharks won, but it wasn't easy against their biggest opponent Highland Oaks. After the match, I found Nate looking confused. He told me that his twin brother still thought that he made up a rumor about him and ever since they barely talk. I told him that I could help him with his brother, but only if he is willing to help me study. We agreed to the plan. He told me the details. His name is Eric, he has History and English classes with us. He basically looked the same as Nate, only the hair color was different. And the rumor was that he allegedly cheated on his girlfriend. And they broke up, the rumor happened last year. For this one I will need some help, I asked Evelyn and Lauren to meet up at 8 p.m. with me. I will need some answers to start my plan, so I asked them why Eric thought Nate was spread the rumor. They told me that they know it's not Nate, but Nate has better grades and plays baseball, while Eric has an injured leg. The only thing Nate didn't have is a girlfriend, so he probably assumed that he got jealous. Lauren sighed, ''I think I know who spread the rumor'' she said. It was Malcolm from Highland Oaks. She overheard him telling his teammates to spread it around the school, because Nate was a hard opponent and it happened somewhere around the State Championship Game. So we had all the information we needed, now how are we supposed to convince the guy? I decided to try after a week. I told Eric that he should go to the baseball team because they know who spread it. Eric said that he didn't want to. So, now I need a new strategy, I will need a longer conversation with Eric. Later, I met Nate and we went to the library so he can explain the math homework to me. I struggled at first but now I know it pretty decently, until he told me that was only the first equation and we ten other equations. I waited a few days before I tried again. This time I asked Lauren to tell him that she knows it's not Nate that spread the rumor. I then later asked Lauren how did the conversation go. She told me that he will walk by the baseball team and check things. After the fifth period I saw Eric and Malcolm arguing. But they were called to the principal's office before it got worse. Eric got detention and Malcolm got a weekly suspension from playing baseball. Eric told us later that he found out the truth and was ready to throw hands. He wasn't ready yet to address this with his brother, but he did it later. Ever since Nate is tutoring me I have C's and B's. I'm pretty satisfied with how life is going. A few weeks passed by fast, and Nate thanked me. I was confused why was he thanking me. He told me that he and Eric made up and is in good terms with him. I also wanted to thank you for tutoring me, my parents are really proud because I was improving. As I looked back on my past I am really proud of my achievements and experiences. In the end Nate, Lauren, Evelyn and me stayed good friends.
