One small act of kindness

Today I will be talking about how such a small thing like one small act of kindness can change everyone's day. I hope you will enjoy it! To start, let me tell you what such a small act can do to a person. Let's say that someone is crying. You go up to them and simply ask if they are okay. That small gesture can cheer them up because it shows that you care about someone. In other words, you have empathy. If you really want to help the person, you can also offer him or her a handkerchief. Or the other example, imagine you see someone struggling during a test. Even though you should not be doing this, ask them what question they need. If you really feel generous, just give them the whole sheet of paper. That does not mean much to you, but that person you have helped could get a whole better grade because of that small act of help. See what I did there? One small act of kindness does not always mean helping someone. It can also be something very simple. And it can also mean that even a simple compliment can change their whole day. Whether it is love or a compliment of one's look, the person can really get a good impression of you. That is exactly what I did one day.

I decided to go through a whole day sharing positivity and happiness. I woke up in my bed just waiting to do something good. I baked some eggs so that my mom did not have to, went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for the cake my dad was going to make, even cleaned my sister's room a little. Even though she does not like me touching her things. But I know, deep in my heart, it is a sign of love. So then I went to school and gave an apple to my teacher. And I know what you might be thinking. That on that day I was just going to give people something. No. Sometimes it can turn out very bad. You will see in the future. In the class I was so still and good, answering all the teachers' questions and I did not get a single warning. I'm not going to lie... school was not great that day. And all the rules and rules. When I got home I invited my friend over to make a cake for my dad and to bake it earlier. And since I got all the ingredients for the recipe it was going to be "a piece of cake". See what I did there, again? It was my father's birthday so my friend and I called him facetime and we put balloons in the background. My day was very, very happy and that made me happy, too. Enough fooling round. We started cooking, LIKE, COOKING. It started really well. And we had great cooking elements like: an oven, a mixer for fruit, and superb, 5-star ingredients. My friend was excellent at baking so he made most of it. It was finally done... almost done. We only had to bake it in the oven for an hour and twenty-five minutes. And we put the whipped cream in the freezer for another few hours. Since we made everything, we decided to go to his place and get on his brand new Play Station 5. And he had the best games including The Crew Motorfest, The last of us, both 1 and 2, and Fortnite which is too boring to play nowadays. My friend sat on his absolute monster of a gaming chair but at just that moment, his own dad came into his room and asked us for a favour. He wanted us to help push out his friend's car from snow because it was stuck. I did not feel like doing that but since we had nothing else to do, except for playing games, we said "yes". It was really hard but we managed to pull that action off. His friend thanked us for helping him out and gave us 10 euros as a sign of unification. The sky was setting down but I felt that something was wrong. We were still playing games at his house so I did not bother. That day I was very happy and proud because I have accomplished my mission. Of course my friend helped me a lot and I'm not going to deny it, all of it was fun. I was thinking how I could actually be like that every day, helping people out with their problems and putting smiles on their faces. Well... in the middle of the game I saw my dad calling me facetime. He DID NOT have a smile on his face when he came from work. And later, neither did I. In the background I saw a lot of smoke and it was not looking good for me... nor for the kitchen. If you remember that cake we put in the oven, well, it set on fire because my friend and I were silly forgetting that part. Not only we were in trouble, but the whole party was ruined and the cake was pitch black. Literally, the whole house was in that dirty, black smoke and obviously the smell was awful. I felt so bad and sorry for my dad, and the cake. At the first glance my friend and I were bursting in laugh because we thought my dad was trolling us. His face was not only angry but black also, "ha ha". It turned out that I would NOT be participating in such days ever again.

I highly regret the cake part but the rest of the day was actually really good. Well, that day I learned a lot of things. I mostly learned how to make others cheerful, even learned how to push a car out of snow. And most importantly, never ever to forget about something important. Like turning the baking cake off. I mean, it turned out very well because my house could have burned down. Also, one more thing. Not only I have learned something from this story. I hope you have learned something, too. I also hope that you enjoyed this adventure with me. The adventure of how a small act of kindness can do literally everything!
