"No, we can't get her that she will hate it!" said Eve as they were walking through the mall. "Well I didn't hear you recommend anything Lorelai, if you're going to complain, you might as well start giving out ideas!" "Okay, well why don't we ask Edith what she thinks." "Edith, can you please stop ignoring us for a minute and actually help us!" said Lorelai as she turned to Edith. "Okay, okay I'm listening to you guys. What did you say again?" said Edith confusingly. "We asked you what you think we should buy for Daisy, you know, one of your friends." said Eve while looking away annoyingly. "I'm sorry, okay guys, from now on, my attention is one hundred percent yours." "It's finr, we wouldn't find anything even if we actually tried." Eve and Edith visibly agreed with Lorelai. "We could get her flowers for the start, I mean we know she will definitely like that." suggested Edith. "Yeah, she likes tulips and roses and basically any flower that is considered pretty." "That's a great idea guys but can we please stop and get something to eat before we do that, I mean we've been here for two hours." said Eve. "Sure." Lorelai and Edith agreed. "Okay now that we ate, we can go get those flowers and everything else. Okay so where exactly is the flower shop?" asked Eve. "Now that you mention it, yeah I have no idea." said Edith while confusingly looking at Lorelai and Eve. "Oh my god, hi!" Eve started yelling while running towards a girl. The girl had ginger hair tied into a lose braid, she was dressed basic, as any other teenage girl. "Hi!" said the girl while hugging Eve. "So you two this is Molly, she went to kindergarten with Daisy and me." said Eve excitingly. "Nice to, finnaly, meet you!" said Edith and Lorelai. "Nice to meet you too!" said Molly while smiling brightly. "Wait , why are you here? Don't you hate malls? I thought that was the reason you buy all of your clothes online?" curiously asked Eve. "See, I told you I wasn't the only one who hated going here." Edith interupted. "Well, I'm here because of Daisy, I've been trying to find her agift for whar, an hour now." Molly complained. "We decided to get her flowers and something else, the thing is, we still don't know what that something is. So we are going to get her flowers first." said Lorelai. "Just make sure Joe didn't already get her flowers." "You're right, I'm going to be honest, I do not like him." Edith responded to Molly. "Yeah, me neither, I can't believe she is having some type of house party for her birthday, if she wasn't dating him we would probably spend her birthday on some bench talking." Said Eve as they continued to walk through the mall. "I'm sorry, girls but I really have to go . If my mum has to wait any longer for me, I won't go to that party." "See you tomorrow then." Eve, Edith and Lorelai said to Molly as they were wawing her. "Bye!" said Molly while she was walking back towards her mum who was waiting for her. Eve, Edith and Lorelai continued shopping and shortly after headed home. "Eve can I come to your house tomorrow before the birthday?" asked Edith. "Sure, but why?" "Well, you live closer to Daisy and I don't have anything to do before the party so like." "Okay, okay you can come, Lorelai, are you coming?" "No, I can't I have this family lunch thing because it's my aunt's birthday. Which means I will also be a free babysitter for my cousins while all of the other family members get drunk." complained Lorelai. "Didn't you take care of your aunt's cat for a week last month and then it like knocked over your mums flower vase or something and it broke?" asked Edith while laughing. "Yeah...and then I was the one who got grounded for a week while the cat was still there!" Lorelai complained angrily. The girls laughed as they continued to walk home. The next day Edith was outside Eves house knocking on her door. "Oh hello Edith, Eve told me you were coming over but she is still asleep even thought it's afternoon." said Eves's mum as she opend the door for Edith and screamed for Eve to wake up. Edith went up to Eves room to wake her up. "Eve!" Edith yelled while standing next to Eves bed. "What!" Eve screamed annoyingly while still half asleep . "Why are you sleeping it's 4 PM?" "Well when I came home last night after I showered and all that I went to my living room and watched TV I don't even remember what I watched it was one of those cop shows, I think." "Okay, just get to the point." "Well nothing I just feel asleep in my living room, woke up at around 7 AM, tried falling asleep again, but couldn't so I went for a run and went back to sleep when I came home." "You're telling me that you, out of all the people went for a run at 7 AM?" "Well, yes I couldn't sleep, don't worry, I showered before going back to bed." "Doesn't matter I was just confused." "So are you like hungry or something because I very much am." "Sure, I'll eat." said Edith and started heading out of the room. "Oh, wait I want to brush my teeth first." said Eve as she started walking towards the toilet. "That girl, from yesterday, was really nice." "Who, Molly?" said Eve while spitting out toothpaste. "Yeah, Molly." said Edith while going through Eves make uo bag. "I always said to Daisy that you guys reminded me of each other, you know that thing that people say you guys are like two sides of the same coin." "You think that Molly, whom you've known since kindergarten, and I are like two sides of the same coin?" said Edith while looking weirdly at Eve. "Oh god please never remind me Isaid that." "Sorry, miss two sides of the same coin." "It's not even that bad , I just woke up, give me a break for once. I just wanted to say that you guys remind me of each other, even though Daisy always disagrees." Eve complained while they were walking towards the kitchen, as Edith was still laughing at her. "So what, do you think Molly is nice?" "Yeah, I mean I talked to her for less than 5 minutes. But she seemed so kind and she has a very nice smile. I don't know anyone who has such a pretty smile." "See that's your problem, you are so quick to decide that someone is nice even though you don't actually know them." said Eve while grabbing food out of the fridge. "I just said she was nice, it's not that deep, and I thought you liked her?" said Edith confusingly. "Imean, I do like her, it's just more of the fact that she prefers Daisy much more. I don't even remember the last time we hung out that it wasn't someone's birthday." "Why were you so excited and kind when you saw her yesterday. You are never that happy when you see Lorelai or me." "Well I can't be rude to her just because and for the record, I see you and Lorelai everyday that's why I'm not that happy . Here, eat this." said Eve as she gave Edith a sandwich. "Thanks. How much do we have till we have to start getting ready?" "It's around 5 and the party starts at 8." " Which means everyone will arrive at 9." said Edith while eating her food. "Eve and Edith finished their meal while they waited to start getting ready. "I told you we should have started getting ready earlier! I still have more than half of my hair to curl." "It's not my problem, it takes you so much time to get ready. Just hurry up a bit, either way won't be that late." said Eve. Eve and Edith headed to the party and on their way there, they met up with Lorelai. "What was taking you guys so long? You told me to be here at 8.30 PM." said Lorelai while having an annoyed look on her face. "Don't be so annoyed we are here, aren't we?" positively said Edith. "I have a better question. Why are we all wearing the same outfit?" "We are wearing jeans and a black top Eve, and you are going to a party where there will probably be 10 more girls dressed like us." said Edith looking down at their outfits. "Enough, can we just please go now?" "Yeah, sure." Eve and Edith agreed as they finally left for the party. The girls arrived at thr party, late but atleast they were there. They handed their gift to Daisy and entered the house. Daisy's house looked straight out of an American movie. There was food and drinks everywhere, the music was so loud you could barely hear yourself, she even had those classic plastic red cups. Most importantly there were a lot of people. "Girls, we've been here for almost an hour and I think I know maybe 3 people besides you guys." Lorelai pointed out while looking around. "Guys, guys look who I have found!" screamed Edith excitedly, holding Mollys hand while running towards Eve and Lorelai. "Edith! Have been drinking again, I'm sorry Molly." "No it's okay Eve, don't worry, I'm fine with her." "And for your record, I've only had one drink, okay maybe two." Edith defended herself. For the whole night the girls partied, drank, danced and had fun. "Is anyone in there?" Molly said as she was knocking on the toilet door. She heard puking from the inside and decided to slowly open the door. "Are you okay?" asked Molly as she glanced towards the toilet and saw Edith puking. "Yes, I'm good." Mumbled Edith ehil hugging the toilet. "Here drink some water." "Thank you. Why are you here, you should be enjoying the party?" "You were puking, I'm not going to leave you here alone." "Yeah, I mean puking is kind of like crying you know. You get it out so you feel better afterward." "I guess if you look at it that way." Molly said while looking at Edith's face. Her makeup was smeared off, it was obvious she had been crying. "But you know sometimes cryibg make you feel worse. You know it kind of makes you realise all the bad things in your life and how much ypu want all of that to end." "Edith!" Eve screamed as she entered the toilet and saw drunk Edith sitting on the floor next to Molly. "Sorry, again, Molly, you can go now I'm going to take her home. Come on, let's go before you start telling more people random stuff. Bye, Molly." Molly waved to them as Eve and Lorelai were helping Edith to safely get to her house. She was still shocked about what Edith said in the toilet. Even after the party, she stayed up looking at her ceiling, thinking about it. "Oh well, good morning, my favourite drunk." Said Eve while standing next to Edith's bed and looking down at her. Edith was barely openinh her eyes, still hungover from yesterday. "Why and how are you here"?" "Your mum let me in, come on, get up and get ready, we are supposed to meez girls for lunch." Edith and Eve headed towards the restourant where they met up with Lorelai, Daisy and Molly. "Look who is finally here." "Stop it, Lorelai, usually you're the one who's drunk wt parties." "I was just saying, I mean, you should be thanking Molly, she was the one who found you in the bathroom." Edith looked at Molly and thanked her for looking after her. "Anyways, Daisy, the party was great." Said Molly. "Thanks, you knwo what wasn't great cleaning up afterwards." All of the girls laughed at Daisy and continued to talk. They stayed at the restourant for quite some time, just hanging out and eating their food. "Guys, I have to go, my mum needs me at home, see you tomorrow." Said Edith as she walked out of the restourant. The girls said goodbye to her and continued with their conversation. Suddenly, Molly got up and followed Edith and stopped her. "Hey, are you okay, I mean, after yesterday and everything?" asked Molly. "Yeag, I mean, I'm fine. Why are you asking?" "Nothing, just checking on you." "Okay, well, you have nothing to worry about, bye then." "Bye." Edith started walking home and didn't really think about Molly's question because she didn't remember anything that had happend last night. The next day, Edith, Eve, Daisy and Lorelai were back in shool after the weekend. "Girls, you know how I have been telling you that I want to find some kind of job." "Yes, Daisy, that's the only thing that you have been talking about." Said Eve while looking down at her notebook. "So I have found this dog walking thing, and I have also signed you guys up for it." "You did what!" Lorelai yelled at her. "I thought it could be fun." "Well, you could have at least asked us." said Edith. "We are doing it tonight, the first time, if you don't like it, you don't have to do it anymore. I have also asked Molly to come with us." Edith rolled her eyes at the mention of Molly. "What, I thought you liked her?" Eve wispered to Edith. "Yeah, well, I did just yesterday, she ran up to me and started asking me if I was fine, lik there's something wrong with me." "Maybe she was just concerned about the party." "I guess you are right." Later that day, the girls picked up the dogs and they went to take them for a walk up this sort of small mountain. While they were walking Lorelai, Eve and Daisy were a bit further from Edith and Molly. Suddenly, Molly asked her. "Are you good?" "Yes, why wouldn't I be?" "I am just asking." "Did someone tell you something?" "What,What are you talking about?" "Well Molly, I am asking you if someone at the party or something told you anything about about me because you have known me for 3 days and you have been treating like there is something wrong with me." "No, nobody told me anything. I was just asking because of what you said to me at the party before Eve came in." " Because of what, that I said?" Edith asked confusingly. "Well you were talking like you wanted to do something to yourself." "What are you talking about. I was drunk and I was telling you that I didn't like the bad things in my life." "You said that you wanted for all of it to end." "Yeah, in a sense of I'm sometimes sad not in the way that I would kill myself." "Okay, well I was just worried." "I am going to stop you there. Look , you don?t know me well enough to just be thinking stuff like that and please don't tell any of this to the girls because I am perfectly fine. Please just stop assuming stuff about me. Eve wait for me!" said Edith as she walked away from Molly and continued walking with other girls. Molly asked herself did she really step out of line when talking to Edith. The next day as the girls were getting out of school Edith saw Molly standing In front of their school. "What is she doing here?" She asked, while looking at Eve. "Don't look at me, Daisy probably asked her to meet us here. Look, I know you don't like the fact that she was acting like she knows you so well, but maybe try giving her a chance." "Okay, you are right." The girls walked towards Molly and started walking home. "Hey, about these last few days, I'm sorry. I really shouldn't have speculated things so fast." Said Molly to Edith as they were walking. "No, it's fine, you were trying to do a good thing. I would have probably done the same thing. I mean , you weren't totally wrong. Look, when you found me in the bathroom, I was very sad but not that much. Sometimes I just worry too much about what I am going to do in the future because all of my friends have some sort of plans and I have no idea. Also, I guess I often sort of blame myself too much for it and end up thinking how everyone has some kind of talent and I'm not particularly good at anything." "Belive me, I get it. I have an older sister who is in medical school and my parents want me to be just like her, but I just don't want to do that. Maybe we could go for a coffes sometimes and talk." "Yeah, we should." The next day Molly and Edith hung out the whole day. They had coffee, went to the mall and watched a movie at Molly's house. "Look, since we are the only ones who don't have plans for the summer, I thought you could maybe go to my summer house with me. I mean, it's old but we could clean it and make it look better." said Molly. "Yeah, sure, it sounds fun." "That's great, there are so many things we could do!" Molly continued talking to Edith while they both laughed and smiled brightly.
