Once there was a man who was poor in money but rich in kindness. His name was Mike. Mike was on the street begging others for money.
One day somebody gave him a dollar. He was so happy because he was hungry. Then he went to get food. On his way to the bakery he saw a man so hungry he could barely stand. His name was Julian. Mike felt bad for Julian and decided to give him the dollar. Mike thought Julian needed it more. But Mike was still happy because he did a good thing.
Julian thanked Mike and then dropped his act. Julian revealed he was a millionare. Mike was completely shocked and confused at the same time. He was shocked because a millionare was infront of him, but confused because why would such a wealthy man act like that.
Mike asked him "Why would you act like you're poor instead of enjoying the wealthy life?". Julian replied with "Because i wanted to test other people's kindness." Only then did Mike understand.
Julian told Mike that he was the winner. Mike replied with "Winner of what?". Julian replied: "The winner of kindness.". Julian told Mike he was waiting for so long just to get at least a dollar.
Mike said: "So you're telling me no one gave you anything?". Julian replied: "They did give me something they had, but you gave me everything you had."
Mike said: "If I'm a winner what do I get?" Julian smiled and said: "Anything that gives you a good life." Mike was in total shock. He even started pinching himself because he thought it was a dream.
Mike was jumping in joy. Julian smiled and said: "What would you need first?" Mike was thrilled. He didn't want to ask for much. He asked: "Why are you doing this much? You don't have to do all this. "But I want to and I kind of need to.", Julian replied.
Mike was confused, so he asked: "What do you mean you need to?" Because I want to reward the kind.", Julian said. "But why all of this? I gave you nothing and you are giving me everything in return?" Mike wondered. "No, you didn't. You gave me everything you had. But I'm giving almost nothing that I have." ,Julian said in a quiet laugh.
Mike anxiously said to him: "But how can I repay you?" "You already have.", Julian replied. "But how and with what?", Mike asked anxiously again. "With the dollar and so much kindness." Julian happily said.
"You can't even imagine how grateful I am right now." Mike said. "I just want to ask, is the reward of kindness good?", Julian said. "It's more than good, in fact even more than enough." Mike replied. "Do you need it in money or do you want me to buy it for you?", Julian wanted to know.
"I would prefer you buy it for me because if you gave it to me in money I will spend it on useless things.", Mike replied.
"So what do you need?", Julian asked. "I dont want you to think I'm greedy but I think I would need a place to stay, something to travel with, and of course to earn money, a job.", Mike said, feeling embarrassed.
"That's totally a good choice. I think I could make it happen." Julian said happily. "Really? Thank you so much." Mike said overjoyed. "No, thank YOU for spreading kindness.", Julian exclaimed happily.
Mike then lived his dream life without any worries or struggles. And that's how one small act of kindness can turn into a life changer.
