Once upon a a time there lived a little witch named Ella. She lived in a town called Witch Town. Her father was really mean. He abandoned her and her mother when she was a little baby. But nine years later, Ella became a great witch. She went to the best witch school, had great best friends and a pet dragon named Flame. She was happy. She had everything that she needed in her life.
Then out of nowhere everything changed. Her mother fell in love with an elf. "Ella! I have great news for you. We are moving to Elf Town. Len invited us to move and live with him." Ella was angry. She knew very well who Len was - her mother's new boyfriend. "But mum, I can't move! All my friends are here and I can't be the only witch there. And dragons can't move to Elf Town because elves are afraid of them. What will we do with Flame? I don't want to move. Here are all my valuable things. There I will be a weirdo, nobody will like me." Her mother just rebuffed her saying "Honey, you will make new friends." Ella was really sad. After a few days, the moving began. They emptied the old apartment. Ella said goodbye to all her friends, her dragon Flame and then she left. But nobody knew that Ella sneaked her dragon Flame into her bags. Because she could not leave him behind.
After a few hours of travel, they arrived in Elf Town. Len welcomed them with a big smile. Everyone was happy except Ella. She was sad. Len introduced her to his son, her new step - brother. " Great, now I have a step - brother" thought Ella to herself. Len showed her to her new room. It was nice and roomy. And the next day she started her new school. She was nervous. Everyone was mean to her because she was a witch. During the lunch break she sat alone. When she came home, she didn't want to talk to anyone. She just went to her room and thought about her life. In her frustration with the situatio she said out loud some of the thoughts going through her head "What is my purpose in this town? My whole life chaned. I don't have any friends here and everyone is mean to me. My mum didn't ask me about moving and now I even have a step - brother. " She was interrupted by her mother, who came to tell her dinner was ready. Her mother overheard her. At dinner Ella got to know Len and her step - brother better. Everyone had a great time. Ella found out that her step - brother's name was Even and that he was twelve. She also decided that her mother's new boyfriend was the best cook in the whole world - everything he made was delicious!
After a few months of this, Ella's mum and Len had some big news to share with Ella and Even. "Children, come here! We have some big news for you. Try to guess what it's about!" said Len. " School is closed", said Even. "Sorry, son, but that's not it.". " My old friends are coming here!, said Ella. "No, honey, that's not it." replied her mum. Then they said in unison "We are getting married", just like their children who said "What?" at the same time. "Yes, Len proposed." The children were very surprised. They didn't know what to do, so they quickly run to their bedrooms. Suddenly, a terrible idea occurred to Ella. She decided that she would run away from home and return to her true home - Witch Town. When everyone was asleep Ella quietly opened her window and started her journey. She took her packed bag, her pet and set off. Ella didn't know the forest very well at night so after an hour of travel she got lost. She got scared. "Help! Help! Help!", she screamed. luckily for her, a little girl, Stella, heard her. She was a half- fairy, half -witch who lived in the forest.
Stella found Ella and they went to her house. There Ella told Stella what happened to her in the previous few months. Stella told her that it was ok to be different and that being different actually makes you stronger. She also said to Ella that change is good and nothing stays the same. After this Stella and Ella started walking towards Elf Town. On the way the continued talking. Ella found out that Stella moved to Elf Town a week ago. Her mum and dad divorced so she moved to Elf Town with her mum, but on weekends she stays with her dad. Ella and Stella stayed in contact, got really close and became best friends.
Ella wasn't afraid of bullies and she wasn't sad any more. She had a new best friend and suddenly life was easier. When she came home, she wasn't sad that her mum was getting married. She was happy for her mum. " Maybe things are a little different from before but that's life. Everything changes." she said to her mum when she asked her for her opinion on the marriage.
