In a room full of mirrors, everyone will find the one in which they look the best. Unfortunately, that's the way things work nowdays. It's all about what is on the outside, forgetting about the inside. It is really hard to find yourself this way!

Even friendships are superficial. These days, it is really hard to find a real friend who will not judge you or talk behind your back because of who you are, how you dress, what type of music you lisent to, or which phone you own! In every conversation, you have to think about the double meaning of the words that someone is saying to you. This leads to overthinking and harms mental health. Even the small things should be funny and relaxing this way sometimes become a burden! But all of this makes you wish even more for true feelings, honesty, laughter, and everybody's true colors.

Great escapes, at least for me, are travelling, dancing, family, and a few true friends that I was lucky to find. I am also a best friend, and it is something that completes me as a person. So why don't you become one? If only more people were true friends.

One of the best escapes, when you need a break from everything and everyone, is travelling; in another town, region, or even country, you can feel like a whole new person, you can set your thoughts free, you can relax and not be worried about anything, and just be yourself! Seeing people and places different from your own culture makes you richer and more aware of the beauty and diversity of the whole world.

Dancing is one of the most empowering things for me! It sets you free, makes you feel new emotions, and introduces you to new people. It improves your health and memory. Dance is definitely my favourite escape from harsh reality.

I often ask my mum how things worked when she was my age, before this crazy technological progress, when you phone didn't know what you like or don't, even before you searched for something on it. Her answer is always the same; it was all about trust. Trust your friend to be on time at the agreed place, trust your neighbour to watch your house when you are away, trust your sister to water your plants... If only trust would work these days. That way, we would all be less worried. We would be safer. I guess, we would also be happier.

Because of the ideals that social media and TV make us see every day - unrealistic beauty standards like beautiful, long, shiny hair, a pretty face, the body structure of a model with the voice of a superstar, succes in everything someone does - insecurity is the most common feeling among young people. What we see on the screens may not be true, but we believe it is, so we try to be more like we see on social media, forgetting to be ourselves and true to who we really are! We compare ourselves to unrealistic images, which can be very harmful, making us insecure and lacking confidence. Somewhere I read that we all often forget that we don't have to be the best, only the best versions of ourself. I really like this thought.

Sometimes I look at my little sister and how she plays with her little friends when everything looks so simple, maybe that's the key; we should all wish and live for the simple things! I can start with myself; every time I have to make a birthday wish, I don't know what to wish for, because in some way, I have everything I need in the material sense. But I don't like that sometimes even too much is not enough. There are always new and better models of everything, and you are not cool enough if you don't have it right away. Where is the end of that? If only the small and simple things were the most important ones. For example: going to cinema with your friends, going out for an ice cream, eating your favourite food...

The place that makes me feel like a little kid again is always at my grandparent's in their vacation home in the countryside. I know that they will always see me as their little baby, so that makes me feel compleatly free when I'm running after the chickens or doing cartwheels in the meadow. We all should be silly sometmes and childish as much as we can be, laughing till our stomachs hurt. Even though the adults are sometimes not happy with it, I like to run in the forest nearby, because, unlike them, I don't think about the bears that I can meet along the way. only about the fresh air and the freedom that I will feel there.

School life isn't all that easy either. We are expected to do great to get high scores, to participate in lots of activities, but it is a place where we should be able to learn not only what is in our books but also from each other and from our teacher's experiences. But lots of subjects are just a bunch of unnecesssary details we have to memorize, so they don't leave much room for the things that will help us once we start working. It lacks creativity, taking initiative, and free thinking; it is limiting to young minds. If only someone would ask us students what we want to learn about and how to make school more interesting for us. That way, even waking up early in the morning would be so much easier. Maybe school that way would be even more fun and really enjoyable!

If only how kind we are, how honest we are, what kind of humans we are, would be the most important things to someone when they meet a new person, maybe friendships would be bettter, people would tristeach other more, and life would be soo much easier!
