In a world with millions of people, the hardest thing is to find the one who shines like a magic flower in the dark.
I was a little girl, just four years old playing with plastic animals and dolls but one day everything changed. It was a typical day in the day care. I was playing in the plastic kitchen with my friends and then one totally random girl came to me. She just said "Hi!" and asked: "Can I play with you?" and of course I said yes. She sat right next to me on the kitchen floor and we were having like special connection. We talked about mermaids, dragons, a little bit about boys and that's when our friendship started. Her name was Irena. She was quiet, shy but lovely girl and when I saw Irena's smile my heart was overjoyed. Every day we played and ate together and we loved our day care and all the time we spent in it. We hugged each other for goodbye excited for the new day. Years and years later that friendship is still not lost. From the first grade we commonly see each other because Irena doesn't live in the same place as me and we are not in the same class or school but our friendship is strong from the first day and no one can break it up. We call, text or send voice messages every day after school and we talk for hours and nobody can stop our talk. Even if we see each other rarely, these meetings are very funny, special and all these meetings stay in our hearts forever. We go shopping, to the cinema, to the pool or just stay home and have a perfect and crazy sleepover. Every second I spent with Irena is worth like gold because she never leaves me behind and she is not like others. She is really my best friend. When I have a problem, she is here to hug me and listen to me and I am here too for her. I really don't know how many times I was crying on her shoulder because of other toxic friends from my school and she really knows how to help when I cry. We have had an argument and that's what makes our friendship so special. We literally have the same mind and we always find way out of problem, together. I am in the sixth grade now and my bestie is still Irena and I have no problem with that. This is the seventh year of our friendship and that's really nice. Irena shows me what real friendship is and that you don't need to go in the same class or school to be best friends. She is the person I never want to lose, everyone else can go far away from me but she will never be like everyone else. I am still remembering that day when I was a little girl who never thought that one random girl could change her entire life on a better side with just one friendship. Irena is like a sister to me and she is the person who changed the mind of the little girl showing who really cares about and that she is something, not a dot in other lives, a dot which stay there and just makes people sick.
And now seven years later, I finally know that you don't need many friends to feel loved, you just need the one who cares about you and your feelings, who loves you truly, who will never leave you behind and throw you like a trash. I know Irena is that flower from the beginning and she is the one in millions who will shine in the dark and never ever let me go alone.
