26th Annual International HUPE Conference

The 26th Annual International HUPE Conference was held at  Valamar hotels, Poreč from 20 to 22 April 2018 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, and the Ministry of Science and Education, and in partnership with The Education and Teacher Training Agency.

The delegates participated in plenary talks, a panel discussion – English as a Lingua Franca, an array talks and workshops on a number of relevant  topics in various fields of ELT.

Numerous display stands of our partners and leading publishers, with the latest ELT publications and information about their work as well as a number of prize draws and surprises for teachers , were also available to the participants.

The participants had time to share ideas and thoughts with colleagues from all over Croatia as well as numerous other countries during the day but also during the evening social programmes on Friday and Saturday - London Calling stand-up comedy show on Friday, the Bear Educational Theatre performance and “Dance with Školska knjiga” on Saturday.

Once again, we would like to thank  all the sponsors of the conference - without their sponsorship, this conference would not be possible.

And the special thanks should go to our small  army of volunteers – students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, Zadar and Rijeka – our future colleagues.

We hope you managed to find a lot for your personal and professional growth and that you will join us next year to inspire and be inspired!

See you at the 27th Annual International HUPE Conference 12-14 April 2019 in Valamar, Poreč!
