Marinko Uremović: The Complete Beginner’s Guide to Interactive Student Notebooks

Marinko Uremović is a teacher at the Primary School Blago Zadro in Vukovar where he has been teaching English and German for the last fourteen years. He gained his master’s degree in English and German language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek in 2004. Besides his regular work at school, he has always been interested in informal education setting up different educational programmes and NGOs in Vukovar aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue. He is also an author of a couple of teacher’s manuals for teaching English and for promoting intercultural values. Between 2013 and 2015 he was the president of HUPE. He also enjoys writing teaching materials and delivering workshops for teachers. Privately, he is a runner, a music lover and a proud owner of a dog.

Irena Pavlović: My SUSI Experience

Irena Pavlović, prof., an English language teacher with 15 years of teaching experience has prepared an overview of her SUSI programme experience. She won the scholarship of the US State Department and now is willing to share her experience with you, with us.

So, if you want to know more about what does it mean to be a SUSI, about professional development of the teachers in the USA, about their educational system or how it reflects on you and your life afterwards, please take a look at the recording.

The main aim of this excellent webinar is to get to know the American educational system and the possibilities of professional development through US Embassy Zagreb.

Arjana Blažić: Tools for online assessment

Arjana Blazic is a Language Arts Teacher at IX. gimnazija in Zagreb, Croatia and 2014-2015 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow

at the Pennsylvania State University. She is education technology advisor and course designer, international speaker and workshop leader.

In this webinar we will present various online testing tools that teachers can use to create their own interactive quizzes, surveys, puzzles and games for testing student knowledge and measuring student progress. The talk will focus on free user-friendly tools that can be used for testing different language aspects.
